Digital Gardens vs Blogs
What makes a digital garden different from a traditional blog?
A blog is chronological. A garden is topological.
Blogs are streams, new posts push old ones down. Gardens are networks, ideas connect to other ideas regardless of when they were planted.
The key difference is that gardens embrace imperfection. You can publish a half-formed thought and come back to develop it later, what I call thinking-in-public. A blog post feels like it should be finished.
